I hate how people make promises to you, saying things like, "Don't worry, I'll buy it for you." etc. then the next thing you know, they start complaining and blaming you for making them do it.
I mean come on!!! Why'd you say you'd do it if you know you're gonna regret it later on? When you make an oath/promise, make sure you look at all the things you're promising them, and how the consequences would effect you. Don't just look at it as doing something nice for them and then later on you hate them for making you do it. Grow up.
When an event is coming up or something big is coming up, don't make a promise out on impulse. Not only will you regret it but you will look really stupid when you try to break it.
Overall don't promise at all! Matthew 5:37 reads:
"Simply let you 'Yes' be 'Yes', and your 'No' be 'No';
anything beyond that comes from the evil one."
I need not explain this scripture more since it explains itself.
Don't make promises at all, especially if you're going to regret them later. Its annoying and it makes you look like an idiot.
Capiche? Capiche. Yeap.
